I Love You Blue Kangaroo

Lily's most beloved toy is her blue kangaroo. But the adults in her life keep plying her with new toys and blue kangaroo finds himself jostling for Lily's attention. You can't help but empathise with his distress at the arrival of every new bear, bunny, and fluffy dog, and we feel his desolation when, thanks to the growing line of bed companions, he gets pushed out of the bed and onto the floor. This is a great story for starting conversations with children about jealousy and looking after those we love . It's also a good reminder for adults that giving children more and more toys won't necessarily make them happier. Great to read aloud for ages 3-5. Here is a short video of it being read aloud.
