Friendship between a bum Moshi and a teenager Bobby is based on deep empathy and acceptance that Holocaust survivior Moshi has developed as part of his life experiences. Moshi's help transforms Bobby; Bobby's life energy enriches Moshi's lonely life. Booby is a poor black boy who seeks revenge on the gang who attacked him and his girlfriend. His aggression is turned around by Moshi's care and friendship.
