Value Tales

Dr. Johnson has a large series of biographies written for children called The Value Tales.  For instance, there's The Value of Courage--the Story of Jackie Robinson; The Value of Determination--the Story of Helen Keller; The Value of Respect--the Story of Abraham Lincoln.  Third to Fifth graders will really enjoy these stories which always include an "imaginary friend" who helps them along the way.  My three sons all loved these.
