This feature film staged in 1939 is based ona true story. In a horrible Irish reformatory school for boys a horrific regime and mentality reigns.
In my view, this is the quintessential empathy movie. A mother and a daughter change perspectives about life, love and family responsibilities, after they get to experience one full (hence freaky) Friday in each other's body.
The film is about a dysfunctional family that sets out on a road trip to take the youngest to a pageant called Little Miss Sunshine.
The Lost Child looks at the life of a child growing up in a family where there is parental mental illness.
