Malaria, Poems
Submitted 5 years 6 months ago by Roman Krznaric.
I was hugely impressed when I came across Malaria, Poems. This collection really is a moving and powerful feat of the empathic imagination. Poems such as 'Still Born' take us into minds and lives that most of us barely or rarely think about, and the result is both shocking and inspiring. Reading these poems made me realise that poetry can be as much about social justice as about aesthetic pleasures and emotional insight. I read Conway's poems alongside Leslie Jamieson's superb essay collection, The Empathy Exams, and they were excellent companions.

A unique merging of social justice and aesthetic pleasures
Conway, a former professional martial arts experts, really knocked me out with his new poetry collection.
