I Am

This is a really interesting film by the director of Hollywood blockbusters like Ace Ventura, The Nutty Professor, and Bruce Almighty, after he had a life-transforming accident. The filmmaker talks with luminaries like Desmond Tutu, Noam Chomsky, and various researchers and scientists about how science is increasingly confirming that all life is connected and the implications of this for empathy, compassion, etc.

Cooperation, it's in our DNA.

This is my favorite discovery in the movie. Really uplifting.

I AM

I've bought copies to be placed in local libraries and have given copies to friends and family.  It is extremely urgent that this film be seen by as many people as possible. It will allow people to believe in themselves again, to believe in their power as individuals to change things simply by altering their perspective. Compassion toward others leads to inner happiness and it's so easy to do. "Change the way you look at things and the things you look at change."

I AM

I can't say that this film changed my life, but it came along at a time in my life during which I was due for a change.  It helped.  I have thought about it alot, read books by some of the guests on the film, and talked about it with friends and strangers.  I highly recommend it.

A utopia cannot exist...this sounds like giving up to me. Giving up on love.

What I learned from this film is that love exists, and that the smallest acts of it add up. It seems that I had forgotten that recently, it lingered in the shadows of my wanting to get ahead.  This film is absolutely great and I would recomment it to anybody.
