So, I'm going to tell you something.

This video work, by a London/Bergen based visual artist explores cultural histories and memories through a language based project.  Working with four people who share the same identity traits as the artist (British, female, of mixed ethnicity), the artist has sought to find out about her own relationship with her identity and the sense of 'double belonging' that comes with being brought up in more than one cultural community.  Through the project, initially through collecting the stories of the four participants and then by over-dubbing the video of them reading their stories aloud, the artist tries to look inwards by embodying the other people and their past.
