Disability and Inclusion
Moving film - about how disability impacts peoples lives in the Gulf, leaves me feeling inspired by the hope and dreams expressed in the film.
I have watched this inspiring film a few times now and each time I glean a new perspective and meaning on what it must be like to have a disability in the Gulf Region. It is truly inspiring and thought provoking and I am going to share this so everyone can watch.
This film brings a tear to my eye every time I watch it. The beautiful people and the beautiful things they do turn my heart to mush.

I like the way this film uses voices, sub-titles and some of the people interviewed use sign language too.

Voices is a truely inspiring and thought provoking film giving voice to disabled artists and disabled community in Qatar. Created for the British Council and Sasol’s Definitely Able conference and ILHAM art exhibition which took place in March 2015 at the Museum of Islamic Art, the film reminds us that disabled people need their voice to be heard so they can rightfully take their place in society. - See more at: http://empathylibrary.com/video/voices-0#sthash.vtnYzmU0.dpuf
Insightful film, beautifully shot
Congratulations on the film.
As someone working in the UK in the field of Arts & Disability it was great to learn a little about the barriers faced in Qatar, but also the brilliant people overcoming those barriers and pledging to share their knowledge, expertise and inspiration as role models. Do keep posting films as the projects continue, please!
