Completely amazing compilation of CCTV footage showing everyday people saving strangers from death. Like a guy grabbing hold of someone about to jump in front of a subway train. Restores your faith in the human spirit. Utterly unforgettable.
'Wide Sargasso Sea' is rightly considered by many to be one of the greatest pieces of writing of this or any time, so I naturally approach reviewing it with some trepidation. But it has to be in The Empathy Library, so here goes ...

This is another of that very special kind of picture book which blurs the boundaries between what is for children and what can be appreciated by adults. The poet Michael Rosen wrote the book after the death of his son and Quentin Blake illustrates it sensitively.
